Tropic Isles Elementary will provide a quality learning environment to meet the varied needs of all students, through high expectations, parental involvement and real world experiences.

                                   Quality School Development

Tropic Isles is committed to creating a Quality School for our students. This commitment has led us to become actively involved with the work of Dr. William Glasser’s Quality School training and Choice Theory. We are an official Glasser Quality School, one of 22 in the world. At the core of a Quality School is the elimination of coercion and the satisfaction of basic needs to maximize learning. We recognize that we cannot control others but only influence them. When our relationships are strong and our work purposeful then quality learning can take place.

Tropic Isles faculty, staff, and students are implementing continuous improvement strategies using Sterling/Baldridge Quality techniques through all levels of the building. We are a Sterling Demonstration School and the only Lee County school to have completed a Sterling Challenge in 2006-2007.  We are one of four organizations in the state of Florida to receive the 2009 Governor's Sterling Award.
